Waste reduction
Your benefits
- Clear picture where the waste-spots are in the organization’s processes (base line).
- Visualised examples of waste detected: waste in material, in time, in information and systems used. Pre-calculated benefits for the organization.
- Waste reduction projects defined, teams allocated and trained.
- First round of waste reduction projects executed, benefits quantified and communicated to stimulate the next round of waste reduction projects.
- Organization prepared to follow the path of waste reduction and prevention on her own.
Our approach
- Starting step is to build base line information: where do we stand, quantitative set of data, not the details but where are the big "black holes"? Clear, high impact evidence supported by photo’s and numbers. Pre-calculation of the benefits.
- Feedback sessions with top and middle management to “prepare” the culture for waste reduction projects – support, openess and even currage are needed to accept that way of doing things yesterday was a good way yesterday, but not any more a good way today and tomorrow.
- Training of the “waste hunting teams” in tools and approaches to discover and eliminate waste.
- Execution of the waste reduction projects. 90 days throughput time per each project is a simple "rule of the thumb".
- Setting up a necessary quality assurance measures to prevent falling back in performance at the moment that the projects are closed.
- Transfer of knowledge and learning points to the organization.
